My sims3 household isnt loading?

Yesterday I was in a rush to leave my house so the minute i saved the game i shut my computer off. I dont remember if it was still up or anything but the game disc loads and it comes up to the screen with all of your saved games. Well the one i was playing doesnt show the household nor does it show the actual house they live in like usual.. Can you please tell what happened and how to fix it!?
