Has anyone ever waited for about 5+ years until seeing a dentist? What happened?

I waited about five years once and I was convinced he was going to tell me that all my teeth were going to fall out. He didn't. If you brush and floss regularly then I'm sure you'll be fine. Maybe you'll need a filling. I also had a little black bit on a tooth which he said was nothing. Just go and get it over with.
