How do you think this will end up?would love help please!?

I'm going to try and make this as short as possible,basically I split up with my boyfriend of two and a half years as I wasn't well and couldn't handle it but I love him so much!it happened before and I just couldn't handle it as we rushed into things too quickly cause I didn't want to loose him,however we still talk everyday as much as we always did,and he says he loves me,and doesn't want to be with anyone else when we split up,I told him I just need time to get better and that obv I would love him to wait,yet I don't have a say anymore as he's not my boyfriend,I asked if he thinks it could work in a few months and he says let's take one day at a time,you need to get better,what do you think the chances are of gettin back together?I'm single and have no interest in other guys,all I think about is him!do you think there is a good chance of getting back?or what do you think?he says when he's not talking to me and when he's own he gets sad about the breakup so tries to keep as occupied as possible. Thanx for any advice!
